ABOUT
Meet the Owners: Josh & Jennifer Wilson
Green Acres Landscape began long before it had a name. Josh started “cutting yards” at 15, and by the time he reached college, he was managing a full roster of clients who valued his work ethic and eye for detail. In 1998, he officially launched Green Acres with a friend. Just a few months later, Josh took full ownership, committed to turning what began as a part-time job into a lifelong profession. That decision has grown into one of the area’s most trusted landscape companies.
Jennifer left her sales and marketing career in 2010 to bring her skills into the business, becoming Josh’s partner in Green Acres and helping elevate its growth. Wanting to bring even more expertise to their clients, she began studying for the Alabama Landscape Design Board Certification. After years of classes and preparation, she completed and passed her licensing exam in March of 2015.
“Design has always been a passion of mine, particularly the way it shapes a property’s beauty and its long-term value. Quality landscape design and consistent, professional maintenance matter more than most people realize.”
– Jennifer Wilson

Their son, Fisher, is a student at Mississippi State University, where he’s majoring in Landscape Contracting and minoring in Landscape Architecture. He plans to join the family business after graduation, continuing the work he’s grown up around.
Together, Josh and Jennifer bring decades of experience, complementary strengths, and a shared commitment to exceptional design, meticulous care, and personal service. Green Acres isn’t just their business, it's the work they love and the legacy they’re building, one landscape at a time.
